Desiree C - Office Manager
Desiree has been in the optical industry since 2001. In the office, she melds her fashion sense and love of frames with new and updated lens technology to create a fun and educational experience for our patients. I Desiree orders contact lenses, adjusts and repairs eyewear, and maintains the back office. Outside of work, she spends time shopping, scrapbooking, and spending time with family.

Mingxia A - Patient Care Coordinator
Each morning, Mingxia prepares the office for business by cleaning, organizing, checking messages, and preparing patients' charts for the day. She also pretests patients before they see the doctor. It is Mingxia's responsibility to ensure that patients have a pleasant experience the moment they walk through the door. In her spare time, she enjoy listening to music, dancing, singing, painting, figure skating, and eating.


Lydia M - Office Manager/Downtown Optometry
Lydia has been assisting patients with eye care needs since 1989. A graduate of Doctors of Optometry from Southwestern University at Cebu, Philippines, Lydia first worked as an optometrist for Acebedo Optical in the Philippines. Lydia and her husband Donald then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where Lydia worked for Dr. Eugene Young, an optometrist in downtown Honolulu for about 6 years.

Lydia has continued her passion of assisting patients with their eye care needs when her family moved to Stockton, California. Since moving to Stockton, Lydia has been working for Dr. David Benkle as office manager in Dr. Benkle's Downtown Optometry office. Lydia is married and has two Boys, Sidney and Nick.


Rosemary P - Optician/ Downtown Optometry
Rosemary has worked for over 18 years as an optician. Prior to joining Downtown Optometry, she worked with several doctors as an optician and joined Dr. Benkle's practice 10 years ago. She has been married for 38 years and has one son, one daughter and 3 beautiful granddaughters. In her spare time, she loves to cook, hike, camp, and do any outdoor activities.


Gloria M - Back Office/Downtown Optometry
As an optometric assistant, Gloria pre-tests all patients before they are seen by Dr. Benkle. She is the first level of care for your eye appointment. In addition to being an Optometric Assistant Gloria is a certified Phlebotomist.
Gloria has worked with Dr. Benkle for 11 years. She is the proud mother of a 11 year old daughter and a Yorkshire Terrier, Colby. Gloria enjoys spending time with her daughter and family in her spare time.
